Case Management
Case Managers are assigned to specific clients who are in need of support and guidance. These clients are assisted in securing a wide range of services in the community.
Crisis Stabilization
The Crisis Stabilization Unit provides acute care services on a 24-hour, 7-day a week basis. Our clients may come in on a voluntary status or on a Baker Act, an involuntary admission. The services involve brief intensive inpatient treatment to meet the needs of individuals who are experiencing acute crises such as psychotic episodes severe enough to harm self or others. We are the only designated Baker Act receiving facility in Osceola County with a capacity of 18 beds.
Crisis Support - Emergency
Clients who are brought into the Access Center are evaluated and administered a psychosocial assessment. Crisis support is provided for any client who may be in danger of harming themselves.
The Access Center is the 24 hours a day, seven days a week point of entry into Park Place Behavioral Health Care. Clients are assessed and linked to needed treatment.
Employee Assistance Programs
Many local and state companies offer their employees counseling services through an Employee Assistance Program. Park Place has contracted with local companies to provide these services to the employees and their families
Psychosocial Rehabilitation
Psychosocial Rehabilitation is a comprehensive therapy program that provides group and individual therapy to the severe and persistently mentally ill. The program is open-ended. It operates Monday through Friday and transportation can be arranged.
Outpatient Medical - Adult
The Outpatient Medical Department offers an array of psychiatric, nursing, and treatment coordination services to the Agency’s clients. Psychiatric services provided by the Psychiatrist and ARNP include psychodiagnostic evaluation, pharmacological intervention, mental status examination, and follow-up. Nursing services are performed under the direction of an Agency Psychiatrist, these services include taking vital signs, giving injections, and nursing assessments. All Outpatient Medical clients are assigned a Treatment Coordinator. The treatment coordinator facilitates development, and subsequently reviews client treatment plans. The goal of the Outpatient Medical Department is to improve the quality of life by ameliorating severe and painful symptoms and to preserve life when the effects of mental disorder threatens it.
Outpatient Mental Health - Adult
The program’s purpose is to provide comprehensive outpatient mental health services to adults ages 18and over, adult couples, and families in order to alleviate symptoms of psychological distress, enhance coping skills, promote psychiatric stability, and improve functioning in all aspects of life. Bilingual therapists are available.
Partial
Hospitalization Program (PHP)
PHP is a comprehensive, short-term outpatient program that
provides support and treatment for adults facing emotional or
mental difficulties, and who may have substance abuse problems.
It features coordinated, intensive treatment that is more
concentrated than traditional outpatient care. The structured

Residential Respite
Residential Respite Services are available for community support clients during family crisis or personal emergencies. It is based on availability.
Transportation
Transportation services to treatment are available for those who are eligible.
Substance Abuse
Substance Abuse Level 3
A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is available for those patients who do not require in-patient treatment, but still require daily treatment. The PHP is held on a daily basis and provides both educational and counseling services.
Substance Abuse - Level 4
The Intensive Outpatient Program is considered a step down from the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). It provides educational and counseling services several times per week but is not as intense as the PHP program. During the program patients are encouraged to become assimilated in the community and develop the independence needed to function in society.
Outpatient Substance Abuse - Level 5
Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Program is for Individuals who have been identified as substance abusers, chemically dependent or driving under the influence (DUI) offenders. A treatment plan is tailored to meet the needs of the patient. Groups meet during day and evening to focus on the problems and behaviors that led to the use of and or dependency on drugs, including alcohol.
The program is composed of four specialized groups:
- Court Mandated Treatment program:
This is an intensive outpatient treatment consisting of counseling and educational services for those clients who have been ordered by Drug Court, Patrol, and Probation. The clients consist of adults convicted of a drug offense, who participate in the program for a minimum of 52 weeks and a maximum of 76 weeks. Random drug testing is an important aspect of the program.
- Day Treatment:
The Day Treatment program is designed to meet the needs of clients with chemical dependency problems who are no longer in need of residential treatment. Groups meet for four hours a day, Monday through Friday for a minimum of two weeks.
- Women’s Group:
The Women’s Group is designed to address women’s issues as well as regular substance abuse. The program ranges from 12-52 group sessions.
- Spanish Speaking Program:
An outpatient substance abuse program for Spanish speaking clients.
Residential Programs
Residential Mental Health Level 2
Residential Mental Health 2 is a twenty-four hour housing program with sixteen beds for persons with severe mental health problems. Residents learn independent living skills in a supervised setting with the opportunity to advance through a levels system.
