Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit (CCSU)
The Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit provides acute care services to children ranging from 9 to 17 years old on a 24-hour, 7-day a week basis. Children and adolescents could only be admitted on voluntary basis with signed parental consent or on a Baker Act, an involuntary admission. The services involve brief intensive inpatient treatment to meet the needs of children experiencing acute psychological and behavioral crises that may lead to harming self or others.

Children Outpatient Medical
The Outpatient Medical Department offers an array of psychiatric, nursing, and treatment coordination services to the Agency’s clients. Psychiatric services provided by the Psychiatrist and ARNP include psycho diagnostic evaluation, pharmacological intervention, mental status examination, and follow-up. Nursing services are performed under the direction of an Agency Psychiatrist, these services include taking vital signs, giving injections, and nursing assessments. All Outpatient Medical clients are assigned a Treatment Coordinator. The treatment coordinator facilitates development, and subsequently reviews client treatment plans. The goal of the Outpatient Medical Department is to improve the quality of life by ameliorating severe and painful symptoms and to preserve life when the effects of mental disorder threatens it.

Children’s Outpatient Mental Health
Individual, group, and play therapy services are provided to children and adolescents ages 5 to 17 in the Children’s Center. A broad spectrum of mental health disorders are treated, ranging from ADHD and depression, to various disorders and problems associated with disruptive behaviors, abuse and trauma, and learning disabilities. Therapists are bilingual Spanish/English.


Children’s Outreach Program
Therapists provide services to children ages 5-17 in-home and at designated Osceola County schools. School personnel and other agencies make referrals. Services include individual, and/or group therapy along with social skills rehabilitation.

Residential Group Care (RGC)
RGC provides 24-hour, 7-day a week service that ensures the safety and well being of dependent children and adolescents that requires permanency goals. The Department of Children and Family determine eligibility. The agency has the capacity of 16 beds for ages 6 through 17.

Therapeutic Group Home
The Therapeutic Group Home is an intensive community-based psychiatric residential treatment service designed for children and adolescents with moderate to severe emotional disturbances. The group home is licensed to serve 12 children and adolescents. Treatment includes psychiatric, psychological, behavioral and psychosocial services to Medicaid eligible children who meet the specific criteria laid out by the Department of Children and Family. Therapeutic group care is intended to provide a high degree of structure, support, supervision, and clinical intervention in a home-like setting.
